Preparation tips

  1. 1

Practise reading characters without pinyin - the exam has none.

  2. 2

In Part 1 pick the words from the list A-H - two are not needed.

  3. 3

Part 2 has ten notices for eight questions - two notices are extra.

  4. 4

1.1 is friendly, 1.2 formal; answer all four bullet points.

  5. 5

Length is counted in characters: Trylab counts every character as one word.

FAQ

How is HSK different from Multilevel?

HSK is China’s international exam (levels HSK 1-6). Multilevel is UZBMB’s national certificate: one exam places you at B1, B2 or C1. Trylab has both - HSK Reading has its own section.

Is this the official format?

Yes - the papers follow UZBMB’s official 2026 Chinese sample: Reading in 5 parts and 35 questions, 3 Writing tasks. Every text is original; the B1/B2/C1 cut-offs are not official, so the result is an estimate.

Is there Listening and Speaking?

Not yet - they need recorded audio. Trylab has Reading and Writing.
