The biggest time-waster when preparing for the Milliy sertifikat (National Certificate) is studying without a plan. This 8-week plan works for any subject: first find out where you are, then work towards where you want to be.
Week 1: find your starting level
Solve one full paper in real time (150 minutes for Math). The result is your starting point. Write down which topics you made mistakes in.
Weeks 2-5: weak topics
- Each week pick your 2-3 weakest topics.
- For each topic, revise the theory and solve 20-30 problems.
- Copy the questions you got wrong into a separate notebook and solve them again 2-3 days later.
- At the end of each week solve one paper - you will see your progress.
Weeks 6-7: real format and timing
- Solve 2 full papers a week against the clock.
- Set aside separate time for the open (a/b) tasks: they give a lot of points.
- After each paper read the explanation of your mistakes, and do not move on to the next paper until you understand why an answer was wrong.
Week 8: revision and rest
- Do not start new topics: go over your mistake notebook.
- Solve your last paper 2-3 days before the exam.
- Sleep well before the exam and get your documents ready in advance.
