In the Milliy sertifikat (National Certificate) exam in Native Language and Literature (ona tili va adabiyot), task 45, the essay, is worth 24 points on its own. That is almost a quarter of the whole test, so practising the essay in advance is a must.
Essay structure
No plan is written for the essay and no epigraph is added. The style is journalistic (publitsistik).
| Part | What to write |
|---|---|
| Introduction | 2-3 sentences: lead into the topic and give your attitude to it. Do not copy the situation text word for word. |
| Body | At least 3 paragraphs: different points of view, real-life examples and arguments for your own opinion. |
