The Milliy sertifikat (National Certificate) in English is awarded through the Multilevel exam. One exam measures levels from B1 to C1: your score out of 75 shows which level you match.
Parts of the exam
The official specification has not been published openly, so the structure below follows the format widely used in preparation materials. Check the official requirements on uzbmb.uz before you register for the exam.

Score and level
Each skill is scored on a 75-point scale. Approximate level boundaries quoted in preparation materials:
| Level | Score (out of 75) |
|---|---|
| C1 | 65 and above |
| B2 | 51 - 64 |
| B1 | 38 - 50 |
How to prepare for Reading
- Read the questions first, then look for the answer in the text: there is not enough time to read the whole text slowly.
- In one-word gap tasks, check the grammar: article, preposition, verb form.
- When matching headings, find the main idea of the paragraph and do not be misled by single words.
- In True/False/Not Given, do not add anything the text does not say.
How to prepare for Writing
- In 1.1 use a friendly style: "Hi …", short sentences, "Best wishes" at the end.
- In 1.2 use a formal style: "Dear Sir or Madam", "I am writing to …", "Yours faithfully".
- In the essay, cover both points of view and state your own clearly.
- Watch your word count: a task that is too short loses marks, and writing far too much eats your time.
