In Uzbekistan's university entrance test (DTM, the applicant test) the 90 questions carry different weights depending on the subject: from 1.1 to 3.1 points each, 189 points at most. Once you know what each subject is worth, you can split your preparation time the right way.
Subjects and points
| Block | Questions | Per question | Maximum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compulsory subjects (native language, mathematics, history) | 30 (10 from each) | 1.1 | 33 |
| 1st specialist subject | 30 | 3.1 | 93 |
| 2nd specialist subject | 30 | 2.1 | 63 |
| Total | 90 | 189 |
What to keep in mind
- One correct answer in the 1st specialist subject is worth almost as much as three answers in a compulsory subject, so give it most of your time.
- Compulsory subjects give fewer points, but mistakes there can still leave you a few points below the passing score.
- Passing scores change every year by programme and form of study. Treat last year's scores only as a guide.
Work out your score in advance
In the DTM calculator you enter how many questions you answer correctly in each subject and see your total score and how it compares with last year's passing scores.
